The first Bleach movie, Memories of Nobody, will be in theaters June 11th and 12th. Article here. Yes, it will be the awful dub. But Bleach on the big screen. :D
Who wants to cosplay mob it, if there's a location near here? There's got to be, we're in the Orlando area, but...
Let's play? Jos? Jason? Laura? Lisa? :D

Most of the con stories are in my post from earlier today.
Other bits - Voltaire concert Friday night was fun. I wouldn't buy a CD, but I'd pay to see him in concert. His songs were creative, but most were a bit more off-color than I normally enjoy. He had excellent stage presence, though. His jokes and personality kept the show going. And one song very much stood out, a lullaby for his son about how he wouldn't say there was nothing under the bed or in the closet, and instead would tell his son that he could deal with them, since there are monsters in the real world he needs to prepare his son for.
When in a line I spotted Nova, Ririn, and Cloud. Couldn't catch them, because they were in a line too. Spent most of the day Saturday looking for them. At one point I saw Ririn on the second floor, talking to Tousen and Grimmjow, when I was on the third. I booked it... and still missed her. Grimmjow had wandered off too. I asked Tousen where Ririn went. He said he hadn't seen. For a moment, I wondered if he was in character. I think that might have showed on my face, because he grinned and said, "No, really. I don't know which way she went."
Caught Ririn later, and then Nova after that, at least. They're in my picspam! Which is missing several pictures from Saturday, oddly enough. Electronics like to laugh derisively in my general direction.
Anyways. Picture Spam! ( here )
And that wraps up the pic spam until Lauren emails me the shots from Friday, and until Taisa has our Halloween shots online too... ;)

This whole post, summarized in case you don't feel like reading much: MegaCon = WOOHOO! Super Smash Brothers Brawl = WOOHOO! Pictures = this afternoon.
Picture spam to follow this afternoon in another post. I was going to shift pictures from camera to computer while at work, since it happens in the background and means I can work on appropriate stuffs while that happens, but the work dock blocks the USB ports, so that will happen later.
Mo, if you're reading this, I looked everywhere for you, and asked so many Axels if they were/knew a Mo. (One even got asked three times, whoops. Twice by me, once by a bunch of friends who was trying to help. Only because she was carrying a gigantic yaoi paddle later did I recognize her and not ask again. Poor harassed Axels... but they all started to look alike at the end there.)
( And now for the in-depth stuff that may wind up long enough to kill an f-list or five: )
And that was a relatively short summary of my exhausting (but very good) weekend.

I haven't had a scraped elbow in about ten years. Apparently, that's too long. Poor elbow.
Anyways, my church had our annual Christmas party, and this year the theme was 'Reindeer Games.' Only eight reindeer ever performed well enough to qualify for pulling Santa's sleigh, so our pastor decided this meant the games had to be physically tough. They were.
I made it without injury through the paper relay, the snowball fight, and the snowball-clean-up-race (smart game, hee). But then it was the wheelbarrow racing. It's been ages since I have wheelbarrow raced. For those of you who aren't familiar with it, one person lifts the legs of a second, and the second runs on their hands. Dad had my legs. We did very well the first time, moving quickly. The second time, though, we were nearly halfway done when the pastor yelled "Twenty seconds!" Dad sped up. There was no way I could keep up with him jogging. We crashed dramatically. My arms and elbow hurt. But it was fun.
The BleachMob Christmas party did not go as planned.
Jason, Logan, and Lisa made it. It was cool to see Logan again; since he lives so far away he hadn't been to any of the gatherings, and I hadn't seen him since AFO. We were first supposed to go to Amura. Amura is apparently no longer open on Saturdays. We went to Crispers instead.
After a difficult time figuring out how the restaurant worked, Logan showed interest in the Hot Russian sandwich. He rapidly backtracked, but it was too late. Jason teased him about it for almost two hours... We discussed Avatar, and Laura's idea that we cosplay Avatar characters one day. Logan's for it, might cosplay Iroh. Jason still hasn't seen it. And I think he's probably still scared by 'the giant flying thing,' Appa.
We watched the Death Note movie, which is apparently only the first half. It was different from the manga, but in a good way, mostly.
Then Lisa came over and we played Super Smash Brothers Melee. I'm not very good at it. But it is fun being Kirby and getting different hats. We unlocked the stage that turns. I fell more times than I can count. I don't like that stage... Because of Lisa's work schedule she had to leave after that.
For dinner we were going to get Chinese food at Panda Express, but Jason decided he was too good for my directions and we drove in a giant circle. He saw Smokey Bones so we headed there, but ended up driving in more circles to get to it. That was great. Dinner was also good, but we were still rather full from Crispers and ice cream.
Went back to my place, watched the two most recent Bleach Eps, checked out the PSP Bleach game, discussed posters, Chocolate Rain, and facebook, and I gave them the mini-lesson in swing-tenor I gave Laura, Lauren, and Taisa. Jason figured out in five minutes a move that took one of our band's swing tenors about two years and took me a day. I'm only slightly jealous. Really. Just slightly. First time picking up the sticks. What the heck...
After that, they headed out. It was about 1:30 a.m. We talked a bit by the cars as it started to sprinkle, but it was late.
Both things were fun. Here's hoping, though, that we can pull off a Bleach Mob Party instead of a Moblet Party...
A minor sidenote: I have a burn on my left hand, and no idea how it got there...

So, even though four other people said they were going to dress up in the office, I am alone. But that's all right. I'll be overly cheerful and Kisuke-like and shall ignore comments inquiring if I was a leprechaun hobo. I know I'm Irish, you know I'm Irish, and it's green. But come on, people... and someone called my Cloud-purse scary. :( Oh well.
I get to go trick-or-treating for the second time in my life tonight, hee, with Lisa and Andrew. I like dressing up, I like candy. What's not to love about this day?
My lead NaNoWriMo character has a name now: Julius Alexander Renhowl III. And yeah, he's as pretentious as he sounds. I'm still working on figuring out the rest of the cast. Tselenar, the Left Hand of the Elf Queen, will be there. He's rather omnipresent in my stories set in this world. But I don't think the rest of his odd group will show up. I'm thinking I want more royal advisers in this party. I have to select what race, though. And I have to find my notes on Satyr genealogies.
The fear house went well last night. No one hit me or the clowns. :D More people scream when they see you right behind them than when you jump and yell at them. However, I have absolutely no voice at this point in time. I'm downing cough drops like they're going out of style, hoping that I can have something tonight. One girl in particular was a lot of fun: I made her yelp when I popped out and roared, but then I followed her. As they went around a corner she saw me, and screamed extraordinarily loudly, and took off RUNNING. She didn't stop screaming until she was out. Long scream, breath, long scream, breath...
Some twerps stole two lights, which were how I could tell when someone had entered my hallway. Gits.
Another group was part of my church, our drummer and his two sons. They came into my room, I roared, the two boys yelped like puppies and clung to their father, who was laughing his head off. I'm pretty sure he knew who I was right away. If the cane isn't a dead giveaway, the black duster is something I wear pretty often because I'm cold in church, and that gives me away too. AFTER they yelped and clung and I followed them, the older of the sons said "Hey! I know who that is!" The drummer said "Yes, yes you do." But they still clung. :D Someone else called my cane awesome. Hee.
I love lurching..."AGH! AGH She's right behind us @*$*###*@&!!! RUN YOU IDIOTS! @%#%#^ YOU! FASTER!!!!"

So the Bleach Mob painted Orlando a lovely shade of Man-genta yesterday. Apparently, that is a color, or so Jashin insists. Because his car isn't magenta. No. ;)
Nanaosa and I got to where we met early, because I'm slightly obsessive about being early. I had not been aware until late Friday night that there was a game going on at UCF on Saturday, which meant the campus was full of already-drunk people, cops, and odd traffic-readjustments.
I started getting worried at noon when no one else was there. I called Laurahime, and was assured that she, Taiskia, and Yachiren were on their way. That made me feel a bit better. Then Jashin showed up, and I realized that it wasn't people forgetting, it was people being Floridian. One day I will get used to this. Maybe.
Laurahime, Taiskia, and Yachiren demonstrated a dance. They did not let anyone record it, alas.
Ended up meeting the other part of our group, Joshigo and Kuukawn(? I dunno how to blend her name...) at the anime store before we went to a nearby Vietnamese restaurant for lunch. The food was awesome. The mango smoothies... so yummy. We were a little loud. Nanaosa looked like she wanted a whole arm-load of flower-filled hats to throw at people.
We ordered food by numbers, since none of us except Taiskia could order the food by name without potentially saying something quite rude. All of us had regular numbers... except for Jashin, who ordered the 110A. Joshigo teased him about being special, and started calling him old.
It didn't help that someone (FawnKuukaku, I think) misheard the name of the Hoisin sauce as Poison Sauce, and that apparently Fish Sauce tastes good but smells horrible. A dented Appliance Direct truck started a whole lot of Appliance Direct jokes "White Porcelain!" "You paid too much!" that continued from then until we got to Sears.
Got a live-action Death Note movie at the comic book store in the mall. FawnKuukaku got the same thing. Taiskia said something about it being Part One... I hope it's a complete movie. I'll probably have time to give it a watch Tuesday.
We headed back to the UCF campus. Nanaosa has better parking-fu than anyone, apparently, as we parked within eyesight of our destination while Jashin and Joshigo parked their cars rather far away. We had pizza while the people good at Guitar Hero played on expert, others talked, and I played Bleach Heat The Soul, since Jashin had brought his PSP and that game. It's quite fun.
Alas, neither of Kisuke's bonus outfits are his Shinigami robes... no, they're pimp outfits. They're amusing, though. It's interesting who the game has and does not have... I mean, it's got all four plushie mod-souls, but not Omaeda or Sasakibe. The Bleach Wii game comes out October 10th. It is most likely dubbed, which will not be nice, but it will be in the US, playable on our US Wiis. I need to remember to find out and exchange my friendscode with peoples...
Anyways. I would declare the outing a success. Eight BleachMob people showed up (two of them being new) and I think everyone had fun. :D
Ah, forgot the silly people as we walked back to the car... Nanaosa and I were leaving, Jashin was being our manly-man escort (and coming to borrow the Bleach Musical DVDs), and Laurahime came along so Jashin could get back into the building. The football game had been over for almost four hours. We walked by a group of four that was slowly packing everything up. The guy who seemed to be somewhat in charge said "Great teamwork, guys!" because they were almost done. I waited until we were a little bit farther to say "Yeah! Awesome teamwork. The game's only been done for five hours, and we're almost ready to leave!" We walked past more drunk people who weren't even trying to pack up, and I commented that they apparently had no teamwork. :D
And someone at the Vietnamese restaurant commented that we are all a bit like our chosen characters. It's true, and fun.

Saw Stardust last night with Lisa and Andrew. While the ending is predictable and it uses a couple of cliches to get there, on the whole, it's a magnificent step away from typical Eragon-style overly-cliched fantasy movies. There are more twists in this film than on a Chubby Checker record. I mean, yeah, it has the typical become-a-swordmaster-in-two-days tactic, but it more than makes up for it.
At the end of the movie was an interesting message... it's based on a book with the same title by Neil Gaiman, the guy who co-wrote my favorite book, Good Omens. I'm a bookaholic. I went out, bought it, and read it. There are a lot of variations between the versions, which is to be expected. I don't know which I prefer, to be honest. The book's ending is a lot more believable, and it doesn't have the instant!swordsmaster (just add water) thing going on. But the characters in the movie seemed more true to themselves, somehow. Even if they weren't the original ones.
Anyways. They shouldn't put JoAnns next to Books-A-Million. This is dangerous, especially now that I've begun sewing. It wasn't enough to just enjoy making jewelry, no. Now I like fabric too. Found a remnant of shiny, sheer, blue-to-black-color-shifting fabric. I've always wanted sleeves like that. Now I have to find something to be the shirt. Oh, and I got matching beads, so I'm probably going to end up beading the shirt. This will be without a pattern. Nothing quite like jumping in with both feet... Should be fun, though. And I got more ribbon, so I can finally finish my Kisuke hat. That did not get completed in time for AFO because I ran out of ribbon on Thursday night. Nothing quite like waiting until the last minute. Bought more books, too, of course. I'm in danger of running out of room on my bookshelves, again. Shall have to get creative, again. hee.

Metrocon. Orlando. Early July, 2008.
More than enough time to work on a costume, people. Let's mob Metrocon. I know Isshin & co. are planning on going; as they left they hollered "See you at Metrocon!" Byakuya wants to go. I wanna go.
Niggsy, others who don't live in the state but I know and like, I have a futon and some floor space and the most comfortable recliner in the world. Bring a costume and come crash. :D

More stories. :D
As I mentioned last post, there were three Kisukes running around on Saturday. One of the others broke their geta. I believe it was an Ichigo that said "There are three of you. You can fix it!"
We were sitting in line for the costume contest, and plushies were being played with. Byakuya asked Orihime what color underwear Ichigo had on. Not only did Orihime look, she proudly displayed the plushie's undergarments to Isshin. Byakuya then discovered that the Byakuya-plushie did not have any on.
Jason David Frank, the Green Ranger, was presented with a doll of himself to sign. He signed the crotch, complete with lightning bolts.
The adult Kenpachi, from my picture post last time, took my fan and broke it by flipping it open too hard. I guess he doesn't know his own strength yet?
My brother and one of my sisters went as well. My brother spent most of his time being too cool for us, and sister spent a lot of time clinging to her boyfriend, which is why I ended up hanging out with fun Bleach cosplayers. I thought I'd gotten a picture of the whole group, too, when we had the Ishida, and SoiFon, and others, but apparently not...
Went to McDonalds for lunch on Saturday. Ran into Ulquiorra there. I found it amusing, at least.
I took a shovel, but apparently no one from CAPSLOCK_BLEACH went, because no one mentioned the shovel the few times I pulled it out. I even asked a few people - Byakuya, Orihime, Ulquiorra, - but no one was familiar with it.
My purse was hidden under my conveniently-large coat. When we went to exchange email addresses, I pulled a pen out. Isshin stared at the offered pen, wondering where I'd materialized it from. I showed him the purse, again. I'm glad it was hidden. I didn't have to deal with the fact that Kisuke doesn't carry a purse, heh. Though I really do need to make a CloudPurse for conventions.
I searched the whole dealer's room for Shunsui/Ukitake doujinshi. I got luck on Saturday when, slightly frustrated, I broke down and bought one that only had Ukitake on the front, but had Aizen, Shunsui, and Kaien on the back. Now I get to translate it. Of course, that's not helped by the fact that the very first symbol is not in either of my kanji books. This could be a bit difficult. I also got a very random Bleach doujinshi that has Byakuya/Ukitake, among other things. Picked up a Maes Hughes and Roy Mustang friendship one. Got three posters, one Kisuke and Yoruichi, two Aizen and Gin. Don't look at me like that... they looked cool. :p I also picked up the first five volumes of Loveless, and now I am hooked on that.
As a group, we (Byakuya, Orihime, Rukia, Isshin, a random little Yachiru, and I) had our pictures taken by cosplaylab. I'm still lost on the website, trying to find it, but it was fun. And yay for little Yachiru. So cute. :D
There were more Mirokus than you could shake a Zanpakutou at, but only one went around the con proposing to all the girls cosplaying girls. He was funny. The others were slacking off.
I never before knew how many characters were in Naruto, but it seemed like hundreds of people in different costumes were wearing the headband things.
If I ever do a cosplay (and I would like to very much), I will find a way to record our voices beforehand so it can be played over the sound system. The ones that did that, I could hear. The ones that tried to talk live I could not hear, and we were near the front. That line was fun too, and the judging of the cosplay was amusing. Two judges had to share a board, so they gave half the score each, resulting in amusing comments and odd math on their part.
That's all that is coming to mind at the moment. I should get back to work. ;)
I have decided that I love anime conventions. The panels were fun, shopping was probably a bit too much fun (oops), and the people were awesome. Ended up hanging out most of the second day with a Byakuya and an Orihime, and the third day with that pair again as well as an Isshin and nameless Arrancar.
My favorite panel was probably the Saturday morning cartoons one. All sorts of opening themes from older cartoons were shown. Hearing a whole room burst into "Duck tales, woo-oo!": priceless. Especially when it's filled with costumed people.
Human checkers was awesome. Ichigo went up against a character with a gun. Ichigo was brandishing his sword, being stupid!Ichigo like normal, and the guy shot him, a la Indiana Jones. I think that was the loudest cheer the whole night. Poor Ichigo, heh.
The nameless Arrancar (we started calling him three-bones because of his mask) had an interesting theory that Yachiru is actually the manifestation of Zaraki's zanpakutou. Yachiru doesn't remember who she was before she met him, and she showed up when he'd just decided he'd be the best fighter ever. She's very much like a mirror of his soul. There are some weak spots in the theory: 1) She runs off while he's fighting Tousen and Komamura, and 2) I don't think Yamamoto would give a zanpakutou manifestation fukataichou rank. But it's still a very cool theory. And I could have sworn I got a picture of him, but I am not finding it anywhere... argh. Byakuya probably did. Let's hope she emails me it...
I did not get as many pictures as I'd wanted. The first day we couldn't find the camera. The second, the memory card got filled, and on the third I slacked off. But that didn't make it any less fun. :D
Cut to save your flists because there's a lot of pictures.

And again I forget about this. I guess maybe it's because sometimes I don't have a lot to say, and sometimes I have too much to say that just won't come out.
My roommates are all awesome. There was a difficulty in getting a refund from my apartment complex (I'd been in a 4/4, paid in full for the year, moved to a 4/2) but that drama is done with. The girls I'm living with now are all adults; they're pleasant to talk with, watch television with, hang out with... I'm very happy.
Ashley's birthday was January 8th. That went all right. Several of us hung out at the Olive Garden she used to work with. Her grandmother Nora was there; she's not doing that well, but the fact that she vowed to have a candle lit every day for a year for Ashley is helping her focus.
I graduate May 5th. :D I'll be walking with Lisa, which will be an added bonus. We'll probably sit near the front and make fun of the pompous and greedy UCF President Hitt. Will be great fun. Wonder if we can sneak popcorn in..
Anyways. I've missed you all, even though I've kept forgetting to wander back here. Here's hoping I remember better...

The hardest part isn't moving itself; it's packing subtly so that my last couple of days don't get worse. I have a feeling that if my roommates knew I was moving, they'd make my last days here absolutely miserable.
Moving Saturday morning, Mom and Dad coming over to help. Should be nice.
Thanksgiving break is almost here, too. Will have a lot of homework to work on, but the Tuesday before break it looks like I'll get to have fun going to see Happy Feet with Lisa and hanging out with her. The end of the year looks like it will be much better than most of these latter months had lead me to believe. :)

I think nervous waiting should be designed into a form of torture. It works very well.
The housing office has not yet gotten back to me, and I don't think they've met with my roommates yet. I wanted it to be over quickly, but we're still waiting. And my roommates are planning on throwing a huge party over the weekend - means probably noise Friday night and Saturday night, all night, both nights. They've done it before, and now they're celebrating because "we're getting rid of her!"
If the office wants to move me, then by all means, let's move me. If they want to evict the others, then please, any time now.
Fun news, though... going over to Rob's to help make a Halloween cake. It's probably going to be chocolate and cherry (black and 'blood' is the idea), and it should be fun. Ashley was very much into pastry making, and she taught him quite a bit.
And Tuesday I get to go trick-or-treating for my very first time. :D Can't wait. It's also my annual excuse to wear my Lorien cloak all day. I wish cloaks would come back into style...

I've never been a big social person. Other than childhood playmates, I only really started to make friends about five years ago. This makes it very odd that I'm spending at least two nights and three days every week with friends. It struck me as I was wandering back from Sarah's house tonight. She's a snare drummer in Rosie O'Grady's Highlanders, and Tuesday nights have just recently become Gilmore Girls nights at her place. Heck, I even have plans to go trick-or-treating this Halloween for my very first time. I don't know how it happened, but it's a nice change.
Speaking of Sarah, she just recently got engaged. As did another friend, Alexandra. And Lisa, part of the Three Musketeers, has asked me to be one of her bridesmaids.
I'm gonna be the cat lady. I'll have fifty cats and will babysit random children when married people want some time alone, which will be ironic, as I'll forever be alone.
Better news: I've got almost all the ingredients to make sushi for myself. I forgot the rice-wine vinegar and cucumbers, though, so it will have to wait. I love sushi. Well... Grilled Salmon Rolls. I don't like raw squishy fish. Only Jell-o is supposed to feel like that between your teeth, imo.
Today marks a week without soda products. I'm slightly impressed with myself. Unfortunately, it probably won't last. Tonight is Project Runway night, and Rob always sticks the soda bottles in front of me because he knows I'm trying to cut back to be more healthy.
On that same front, I bought V8 Splash Fruit Juice instead of my normal sugary juice drinks. I haven't opened it yet. I'm a little scared of it.
And now back to working on homework papers, which I love oh so much.

Yeah, I know I missed several days there. Let's see... I've been going insane starting to work on Christmas presents, I've been stuck in bed two days because of the stupid low pressure fronts that made me ridiculously dizzy and achey, I've been playing Neopets, of all things, had fun throwing up blood today... Hm. Nothing really major, though. My muses ran away, again. At this rate I might as well give up on being a writer. Oh well.

Enjoy. I get rewards too if you do that, though I can't recall offhand what they are. Oh well. I'm boredtadan and plushietadan there.
Had to add this, gotten from Zara's journal ( http://strangeland.blogdrive.com/ ) Apparently schools are now trying to punish students for activities outside of class... http://online.wsj.com/public/article/SB1 13268572534704333-kl_gh5uVNgDPNPepwznr7D nkfW8_20051204.html?mod=blogs

No, that's not Yeesha. I haven't had a chance to play Myst in a while, alas. I'm nearly done with To D'ni... erm. Back to real life instead of games; am at my sister's place now for the night, then N should be out tomorrow morning while I'm in class. I'll be calling mediator-guy and harassing him about her getting out of there. I'll also be asking him whether or not he'd be a witness - he did see her behavior in the mediation, and could see that she was and is out of control. Melissa is up to be a witness, I still have to talk to Amanda.
Ashley, one of the Three Musketeers in my non-fiction class (the other two being Lisa and myself), came by and took me to a comedy show Friday night. It was exactly what I needed. We laughed until our faces hurt and kept laughing. The intro-intro guy was decent, the intro guy was good, and the headliner, Adam Ferrerra, (or something like that) was great. Then yesterday we went and got me new glasses. My eyes were worse then before, but I knew this going in. Doc says if they get worse I'll need bifocals. Yipee. The lenses are literally an inch thick at the edges. I told my mom I might as well just strap telescopes to my head. She told me 'not yet'.
Anyways, Lisa works at the mall we went to, so I chatted with her a bit. Apparently our non-fiction teacher, after chatting with me, was worried and told Lisa and Ashley to call me. The good part of this is it means she realizes how stressful this mess is. The bad part? Horrible-writer-semi-stalker-boy overheard the professor. So on Tuesday he'll either ask me what I thought of his non-fiction piece (not worth burning, would be mean to the fire) or what happened. On Thurs I missed the roasting session, I've heard. Finally a classroom-full told idiot writer that he couldn't write an interesting sentence if his life depended on it. I mean, seriously. When you intend your piece to be entitled 'Spring Break 2000 Whoo Hoo' and instead write 'Spring Break 2000 Whoa Hoo' it should be a sign. Just give up and stop mutilating the English language already, buddy. Please.
Sister is off at work. I'm bored and in her room, so I can't fire up Uru: To D'ni or put in one of my cds, or watch one of my anime discs.. oh well. I'll find something to do...
